Let your friends, family and colleagues know about your event. Send them an email with a link to your page so that they can support your brave choice. When they get to your fundraising page they then select ‘Click here to sponsor me’.
Your supporters may donate to you by:
| Direct credit | they will need to fill out their personal details and the LBC bank account information will |
| Credit card | they will need to fill out their personal details, then their credit card details and a receipt |
| Cash or a cheque | an "offline donation" the donation is not made online on your shave page with a credit |
Log in to your page. Click ‘MY OFFLINE DONATIONS’ on the right-hand side.
Fill in all the fields and click ‘SUBMIT’.
Bank the money as soon as possible using your Shave ID as your reference.
Please fill in all their personal details including their email address.
LBC will email a receipt once the funds have been received in the bank account.
We will then also approve the donation to appear live on your fundraising page.
If it is cash that doesn’t require a receipt e.g. a bucket collection, please enter that it is cash or coins.
You can deposit your offline donations at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ).
Please deposit your money (cash and cheques) using the following steps:
1. As you receive cash and cheques, list all your supporter’s details on your fundraising page as offline donations.
Without this information we are unable to receipt and thank your supporters.
2. At the BNZ, fill in the deposit slip with all the details required:
Account name: Leukaemia & Blood Foundation
Your name: The name of the person depositing the funds
Reference number: Your unique Shave ID received by email and on your 'My Event homepage'
Account number: 02 0256 0141907 04
Today’s date: The date of your deposit
Notes: Total amount of cash notes
Coins: Total amount of cash coins
Total cash: Total notes and coins
Cheques: List all cheques on the back of the slip and write the final total
Total: Total deposit amount* (all cash and cheques)
Your copy: Fill in your copy of the slip (left hand tear off section)
3. Please attach your copy of the deposit slip, along with the receipt from the bank, to your sponsorship form and mail it to LBC at PO Box 99182, Newmarket, Auckland 1149.
You can also deposit funds directly into our bank account online, just use our account details and remember to add your unique Shave ID number in the reference field.
*Note: Your deposit amount should match the total amount on your offline donations. If it does not, please amend your offline donations to correctly match the funds being deposited, or let us know about money still to come.
If you donated on the website using a credit card and your donation isn’t showing, please let us know.
If you selected direct credit, your donation will appear on the site once we have received it, either into our bank account (using your reference number) or passed on to us from your shavee.
An “offline” donation is when a supporter directly gives you cash or a cheque (i.e. the donation is NOT made “online” through your shave page).
Please either deposit the money into our bank account using your unique shavee number as a reference (this can be found in your welcome email or in your 'My place' when you login) or send us a cheque with your unique shave number on the back. Also, please make sure to let us know if this money includes any offline donations already listed on your page.
Your supporters can visit your group page and make a donation toward the group. If you would like people to be able to directly sponsor you, you will need to set up your own page within the group event. Just head to www.shaveforacure.co.nz/register and select ‘I would like to participate in an existing group event’.
If you made your donation online using a credit card, a receipt will be automatically emailed to you. If you selected direct credit on the website, once we receive your donation, your receipt will be emailed to you.
If I have added an offline donation using my event options when I log in, how is this receipted?
When you add an offline donation, please make sure you include the name, address and email details of your supporter and we will email their receipt to them.
You may have seen a section called “my pledges to date” on your page. This is your pledge counter. What this shows are the “non-banked” or offline donations that your donors have “promised” to give you in the form of cash, cheques or direct deposits.
When the pledged donations are banked (from you or your supporters) we will confirm them and update your received sponsorship total. Credit cards donations appear automatically in your confirmed sponsorship total. We hope this will help you better track your fundraising!
