Welcome to my Shave10 fundraising page!

I’ve decided to do this crazy thing for an amazing cause.

I’ve joined the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation (LBF) in their effort to get 10,000 people shaving in a mass expression of solidarity. That’s one shavee for each one of the estimated 10,000 New Zealanders living with a blood cancer or condition like leukaemia.

The LBF is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families living with blood cancers and related blood conditions, this support can last months or even years.

Shave for a Cure is the LBF’s signature fundraising event. The LBF receives no government funding.

Hi everybody,
first of all Thanks for visiting my page!
I've joined "shave for a cure" today and I am taking part in the event of Air NZ on the 27th of June 2010.
Air NZ is flying from Auckland to Queenstown that day and everybody on board gets their head shaved during the flight.
As some of you know, some maybe not, I went through chemo myself so I know how you feel when you lose your hair etc.etc....but I've been lucky and now I want to give something back.
I think this event with Air NZ is really good, will be fun and hopefully I can raise a lot of money!
The whole thing got very special for me for another reason when I got known that a person I know got diagnosed with acute leukaemia this week.
So I would like to ask you all to support me as much as it is possible for you. It won't be only a support for me you are also supporting this special person!

Do not forget anyone can be affected directly or indirectly at any time!
