Heads up! Here's why you should support my Shave for a Cure 🧡
Shave for a Cure is Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand's signature fundraising event, running for over two decades.
Â
Eight Kiwis – adults and children – are diagnosed each day with a blood cancer. There's a good chance that they may lose their hair through chemotherapy, and this can be a difficult, scary, and isolating experience.
Â
But they don’t have to do it alone. Volunteers who sign up to shave their head stand in solidarity with Kiwis living with blood cancer and help the charity get one step further to our vision for a cure.
Â
Leukaemia and Blood Cancer (LBC) is a charity funded through donors, so they need the help to find a cure for leukaemia and blood cancer.
Â
There is an estimated 21,000 thousand people in New Zealand living with a form of blood cancer.
Shave for a cure is a great cause, so many people have been affected by cancer and this is my way to give back! This will be my 6th time shaving off my hair.
My Impact
$256 raised so far helps LBCNZ teams around the country support patients in the community for
7 hours.
