CBHS Shave for Cure
At Christchurch Boys' High School, we talk a lot about brotherhood, character, and standing up for our community. Now, we are putting those words into action in the most visible way possible. We are trading our everyday look for a profound cause by joining thousands across the country for Shave for a Cure, and we need your support to make our sacrifice count.
Every single day, eight New Zealanders receive the devastating news that they have blood cancer. That is eight families whose lives are turned upside down in an instant. We believe that no Kiwi should have to face that fight alone. By shaving our heads, we are doing more than just losing our hair—we are standing in complete solidarity with patients going through grueling treatments, and we are raising vital funds to help beat this disease for good.
But we cannot do this without you. We need you in our corner.
Every dollar you donate goes directly toward powering groundbreaking research and delivering crucial care, emotional support, and practical assistance to people living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related blood conditions across New Zealand. Your generosity ensures that when the toughest times hit, help is right there waiting for them and their loved ones.
Our school motto, Altiora Peto, challenges us to seek higher things. Stepping up to support those impacted by blood cancer is our way of living that out. Whether you are a fellow student, a proud parent, a CBHS old boy, or just someone who wants to make a real, tangible difference, we are asking you to back us.
Please give generously. Your donation not only gives us a massive confidence boost as we prepare to face the clippers, but it also sends a powerful message of hope to those who need it most. Let’s show the rest of the country what the CBHS community can achieve when we pull together for a greater cause.
Hit the donate button, back the boys, and let’s change lives together.
