I'm shaving my hair, for my Sibling Aiden (8 years old)

Shaving my head for my little brother 💙

Someone I love very much has been in PICU for nearly a month now (fighting blood cancer) but after being sedated for a few weeks, his personality is finally starting to shine through again as he's slowly on the mend. That alone means the world to our family right now.

Before all this he was an active boy who enjoyed playing football, shooting hoops, gaming with his mates, and an absolute animal lover especially when it comes to chickens. It's been heart breaking watching that energetic boy hooked up to machines, but seeing glimpses of him coming back has given us so much hope.

His hair has started falling out from the chemo and he's agreed to shave it all off soon. I told him we'll be rocking the same hairstyle together, since I'm also shaving my head in solidarity with him on his birthday (October 21) alongside my lovely friend. 

8 New Zealanders are diagnosed with blood cancer every single day. Watching someone so young go through this has been one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. But every bit of support helps fund the research and care making a real difference for kids like him.
