Shaving the head is not an effective treatment for head lice and is generally not recommended. While lice can be found on the scalp and hair, shaving the head does not eliminate them entirely, as they can survive on the scalp for a short period after the hair is removed. Additionally, shaving can be distressing and traumatizing for individuals, particularly children.
