Here's why I'm doing Shave for a Cure

Big news - I'm cutting my hair to raise funds to support Kiwis impacted by blood cancer.

Every single day, 8 people in New Zealand are diagnosed with blood cancer - and that's just NZ! When I found that out, I felt a calling deep in my heart. I know what it's like to stand alone. To feel isolated; to feel like nobody understands what your going through. No one should stand alone, and that's why I'm doing shave for a cure. To stand with those facing cancer.

I'm not cutting off lot of my hair, but every bit counts. We all have our roles, whether big or small. We are called to donate within our means. For example, my means this year only allowed me to cut my hair instead of shave. But every bit counts. Just 28 dollars pays for a taxi ride to and from the hospital! When you have cancer, you have to go to the hospital everyday, so it becomes quite costly. Though 28 dollars is small amount, it makes a big difference. Every bit counts. So my question for you today is:

What's your role?
