Medical tragedies feel unreal, almost mythical in their
nature. Seeing someone near to your heart be afflicted by many such diseases is
often the only way we can contextualise how they take them away from us.
My aunt’s cancer has relapsed this year, and it has brought
right to my face yet again what a difficult journey it is to go through. To do
what little I can from this little corner of the world, I decided to help
contribute to the cause to fight against leukaemia, and put my hair and beard
where my beliefs lie.
