Support my hair donation journey for 'Shave for a Cure' 🧡

Kia ora everyone!

My name is Phoebe Wang, and together with my school Waitaki Girls', I have decided to join a movement of thousands to unite and raise funds to support Kiwis impacted by blood cancer.

On the 3rd of September, I will be donating my hair for the second time, cutting off 40cm!

I don't like to ask for much, but I would really appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to donate, even just a little bit :)

Your support is so important, because each day 8 people in New Zealand are diagnosed with blood cancer. Every dollar you give helps power research and deliver crucial care and support for people living with blood cancer in New Zealand.

How my hair donation journey began 3 years ago...

Friday 22nd Aug

In March of 2022, I decided I wanted to donate my hair. I had a friend, only a few years older than me, who had cancer, and I wanted to show my support for her, and make a difference in some way.
Now 3 years later, my hair has grown to the longest it has ever been- and after hearing about this idea that our WGHS student council had, I decided to work with them and donate my hair a second time! 
I know it may not seem like much, but I hope that through my donation and fundraising, even one person can feel more supported, or one person will be inspired to do the same 🧡
