Heads up! Here's why you should support my Shave for a Cure 🧡

Every 3 hours, someone in New Zealand is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer (including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma). In order to support blood cancer patients throughout New Zealand, I will be shaving my head.

On the 5th of August, registered students of Rangitoto College, including me, will all shave our heads. We are utilizing the week before the shave as the most significant part of our fundraising period.

I am a service leader within my school, and I have been working with my fellow leaders and committee to raise $2,314 so far. Teachers have agreed to shave their heads at every $2,500 milestone.

For many of us, whether out of genetics or chemotherapy, going bald is an involuntary choice. Hence, I've decided to take the voluntary choice of going bald when I still can in hopes of making a difference. For that purpose, I wholeheartedly thank everyone who donates through this page to support blood cancer patients throughout NZ.

Hi everyone,

First and foremost, thank you for all your donations! We have successfully reached the goal of $500 - and beyond!

Secondly, I wish to give me sincere gratitude again to the Shave for a Cure team for creating this platform of influence. Without them, these series of meaningful action would've never seen it's full potential as today.

Lastly, thank you to all the mairangi bay barbers that have came and supported the shaving and cutting process. Thank you for coming, staying, and making this event possible.

I wish everyone a well insulated nights for the next few days, and will aim to do so myself with lotsa beanies over the now very cold head.
